What is one new reader actually worth?

Book 1 is only the beginning. This estimates how much an average new reader is worth if some of them continue through the rest of your series.

Use the royalty you actually receive, not the book's retail price.

Where do I find this?

Check your retailer's royalty report. If your ebook sells for $4.99 at a 70% royalty, roughly $3.49 is a reasonable starting point before delivery fees.

A rough average is fine. We are doing useful maths, not launching a satellite.
